#29 Nancy K

Another skating memory. Like I have said we were all lucky enough to meet a lot of skaters and other athletes. Nancy Kerrigan was one of them. Laura and I had the same encounter with her and unfortunately it stuck with me forever. We were at one of the skating shows and got to meet the skaters afterwards. We were at the Spectrum in Philly and a little girl had given her a stuffed animal and in an ear shot of us she said something along the lines how she didn't need another stuffed animal. It wasn't too long after that when the "why meeeee" incident happened and then the Olympic gold slipped away. Not that you ever want to see someone get hurt...but karma works in mysterious ways. While she was a great skater and was beautiful on the ice, her nasty attitude stuck with me more.
