I grew up with David. He was like an older brother. I always loved hanging out with the Salley kids - Dave, Danielle and Dev whether on family vacations or down in Slidell, La. We took trips to Pensacola and Duck (the picture to the left is from one of the sumemrs in Duck) during the summers and they are some of the best memories. I have lots of Salley kid stories. Dave went to Richmond for school so he made frequent trips to Delaware and always stopped in for visits. One night when I was in high school he made one of his surprise trips. We hid a key to our back door in one of those fake rocks - he knew this! I could hear someone rattling around outside and it was pretty late. I slowly made my way downstairs terrified at what I was going to find and there was Dave! That weekend was a dance at Ursuline so we were having dinner at my house, Dave played waiter and the girls fell in love with him! The girls spent the night after the dance and

Years later Dave went traveling after he finished college and ended up in San Francisco at some point. He ended up working at my sisters gym. I called one day to talk to her, he answered...I had no idea he was in San Fran let alone working with her. I asked to speak with her and when he asked who was calling I said "her sister" his response was "No I am sorry you can't talk to her" and then he hung up! This went on a couple more times until him and Shannon were cracking up. He was always up for fun and is always fun to be around.
David moved back to Richmond and went on to become an ENT doctor. He married Kelsey, their wedding was a blast, and they have an adorable daughter named Klara. I am looking forward to my next trip to the east coast and catching up with Dave!
